With its wide open runs and perfectly groomed slopes, Courchevel offers some amazing piste riding that can be pretty mind blowing when conditions are good, especially if you’re into carving.
It’s not all about the pistes though as there’s plenty of easily accessible off piste riding close to the marked runs. For more adventurous riders, the back of the resort offers some more extreme terrain with impressive views, ideal if you’re into splitboarding. If freestyle’s your thing, the Family Park has some great lines of boxes, rails and kickers, as well as a beginner’s area which we often use in our lessons, perfect for getting the hang of things before progressing to the bigger features.
For first-time snowboarders the terrain is some of the best in the 3 Valleys with a huge choice of easy wide open slopes to choose from, ideal for practising your turns without the concern of getting close to the edge of the piste or feeling crowded by people around you.
Just be sure to check prices before stopping for a drink on the slopes as you could easily blow your day’s budget on a round of beers!
