CAB9 Snowboard Instructor Ale Ghigo

Ale Ghigo

Ale also joins us from Italy and is the youngest member on the Cab9 team.

Where are you from?

I’m from Praly, a little mountain village in northwest Italy, Piedmont.

How long have you been riding for?

I’ve been riding for 9 years. I started snowboarding in 2008-2009 when we had a winter of 12 metres of snow. It was awesome!

How would you describe your riding style

My riding style is based on my motto “smile and improve”. I love snowboarding and I enjoy it even more when I’m improving my technique. It’s always satisfying for me to evolve and progress.

What’s your perfect day in the mountains?

My perfect day is to wake up early, look out the window and see it snowing! Have a big breakfast and go riding powder through the low lying cloud in the forest with friends. In the afternoon build a kicker and session it together getting some good pics and video until sunset. Dinner in the chalet and ride back home under a full moon!

What do you enjoy best about teaching snowboarding?

The most enjoyable thing about teaching is seeing my clients happy and satisfied with themselves. Seeing big smiles on faces and watch them having fun.

Regular or goofy?

Regular, but I really love riding switch.

Stance angles?

15º / -15º
