If you’re into freestyle, Meribel has two main parks, the Moon Park in Meribel and the new DC Area 43 park in Mottaret which we’ve been putting to good use. Here you will find a huge selection of boxes and rails, as well as kickers to suit every level. Newcomers to freestyle will feel just at home here as experienced freestyle riders who want to fine tune their tricks. There are also loads of fun jibs, a hip jump and a Super Pipe too. The DC team often turn up for photo shoots throughout the season, so you may even get to see your favourite pro-rider hitting the park!
The resort lift network is modern and continually being improved, so the neighbouring resorts of Courchevel, La Tania, Val Thorens and Les Menuires can all be reached quickly, making Meribel the ideal base from which to explore the vast Trois Vallées.
And then there’s the après and nightlife! Some spots where you’ll find the Cab9 team hanging out after a hard day on the slopes include the Rond Point for slope-side après, which can often run well beyond piste closing time and usually leads to an interesting run back to to the village to say the least! La Taverne with its pub atmosphere is a well known meeting point due to its central location in Meribel’s main square, with several other bars and clubs just a snowball’s throw away for some late night dance floor moves.
So whether you’re a beginner snowboarder, an advanced rider, or simply looking to have some fun, Meribel has everything you could ask for and is certain not to disappoint. For us at least, we’re proud to call it Cab9’s home.
